Like big and little endian memory mapped I/O vs I/O mapped I/O was a religious war. And some of the responses you are going to see to your question are going to reflect the strong opinions that are still around today in the folks that lived it. The reality is that every chip on the market today has multiple busess for various things, you dont hang your real time clock off of the ddr memory bus with an address decoder. Some still even have completely separate instruction and data busses. In a sense Intel won the war for the concept of separate address spaces for different classes of things even though the term I/O port is evil and bad and should not be uttered for say 20-30 more years. You need folks my age that lived it to be retired or gone before the war is truly over. Even the term memory mapped I/O is a thing of the past. Championship Rings
(L-R) Rob Gronkowski #87 and Tom Brady #12 of the New England Patriots walk on the field against the Denver Broncos during their AFC Divisional Playoff Game at Gillette Stadium on January 14, 2012 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. However, the Ravens pose a few problems. They destroyed the Pats at home two years ago in the divisional round. Their defense, led by stalwarts Ed Reed and Ray Lewis, will be the toughest the Pats have faced all year. Despite this, expect New England to win. They wil not lose to the Ravens at home again in the playoffs. New England has finally figured out how to play defense a little and another strong showing Sunday will probably install them as favorites in Super Bowl XLVI. In 2010, the Pats had just suffered the loss of Wes Welker to a torn ACL, and that year offense was nothing compared to this edition. Tom Brady has two all-world tight ends in Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez who pose huge matchup problems for any defense. Welker and Deion Branch know Brady so well, they need only look at him for route assignments. The New England hurry-up offense is a sight to behold and the Ravens will get a front row seat. It payback time for the Patriots.. super bowl rings for sale
HelmetSoft leather helmets, called "head harnesses" and worn as far back as the 1900s, were rare. They were primarily designed to protect the ears, but the full ear piece made communication difficult. Between 1915 and 1917, the first full skull protection helmets were introduced. The newer version featured ear holes and suspension, to keep the helmet from resting directly on the player's head. Harder leather and added cushioning, along with a more teardrop shape evolved in the 1920s and 1930s. The first plastic helmets were introduced in 1939 and a single face bar was later added. It was during this time that the NFL made helmets mandatory. From the 1960s to the present, football helmets have undergone changes to increase their ability to absorb impact. In the 1970s, the web-like interior was replaced with foam cells. Some helmets used air valves to create a custom fit. The latest innovation is the use of a polyurethane "cap" that fits over the outside of the helmet, providing additional protection against concussions. Championship Rings
